Jason Receives a Bronze Star Medal

We are so proud of Jason, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal today, the 10th highest medal in Navy list.

The Bronze Star Medal is a United States Armed Forces individual military decoration which may be awarded for bravery, acts of merit, or meritorious service. When awarded for bravery, it is the fourth-highest combat award of the U.S. Armed Forces and the 9th highest military award (including both combat and non-combat awards) in the order of precedence of U.S. military decorations.

Haley completed all 25 of her reading books in Mrs. Baxter's class. We are so proud of her! She got to pick out an outfit for her bear. Brayden had no time-outs at Miss Lisa's, so he got to make his first bear. Way to go, kids!

Today in Sunday School class Haley drew the sweetest picture. It brought tears to my eyes. She drew a picture of herself with a big heart with the word, love in it. At the top she had a picture of the sun with an arrow pointing to it, saying Haley!. I asked her what that meant and she said that was God, calling her name. Isn't that just precious. I am praying these biblical truths of how much our father loves her will be forever written on her heart!
